JBidwatcher has been
 ...and loved it!

These changelogs exist because Sourceforge broke their HTML encoding for the 'official'
changelog pages, after 4 years of 'unofficial' support. It would be nice if a minimum of HTML had been
supported, but instead I have to move all my changelogs to here, since they are much clearer in HTML form.

0.9.5 Release Notes and Changelog
Changes:
TOP issues- eBay's sudden change to require SSL login broke sniping and bidding badly. Emergency fix.
- My eBay search wasn't loading watched/bidding items properly.
Other Fixes
- Dutch/Power Auction handling has been overhauled. Dutch items (also known as Power Auctions) now show up as {price} x {quantity available}. The number of bids is no longer available from the front page, so I don't bother showing it. Finally multi-item auctions are immediately recognizable, and the quantity is knowable from a single line.
- Fix color rendering code, eliminating the pervasive use of HTML in the table display. This should reduce memory consumption somewhat.
- Made the various status icons properly background-transparent.
- Even better thumbnail handling, they're loaded as a background process, so if thumbnails are slow it doesn't interfere with loading the actual items.
- Recognizes prices for 'live' auctions (for tracking, not for bidding!)
- Support Brushed Metal on or off on Mac OS X with the latest version of the Java runtime.
- Attempting to display the various umlaut, etc., characters properly in JBidwatcher.
- Searches have unique names when created, so they don't collapse and go away when saving without renaming them.
- Auctions that have comments on them are now bolded, instead of underlined.
- Alternate lines with a slightly darker line, giving a better 'reading' feel to the display.
Disable by adding display.alternate=false in JBidWatch.cfg.
